Trips
At Oakleaf Primary School we thrive on first hand learning experiences. School trips are an exciting and engaging way for children to learn outside of the classroom and start to explore their learning in the wider communities. School trips bring learning to life and enable children to see their learning in context.
In addition to the academic benefits, school trips also provide a chance for children to socialise with their peers in a different way than within day-to-day school. This can help them to form new friendships and develop social skills that will be useful throughout their lives.
At Oakleaf we aim to run trips on a regular basis, making the most of our local surroundings and taking advantage of educational opportunities. Sometimes, instead of visiting a set venue, we bring the learning to our school through specialised workshops or themed days.
